VitaCforte™ provides an extra supply with vitamin C in a variety of forms: Calcium and magnesium ascorbate are so-called buffered forms of vitamin C. Combining the ascorbic acid molecule with the minerals calcium and magnesium neutralises the acidic effect of the ascorbic acid. This form of vitamin C is especially easy for the stomach to cope with. In this composition, calcium and magnesium ascorbate can be easily absorbed and metabolised by the cells.
Ascorbyl palmitate combines an ascorbic acid molecule with a fatty acid molecule. Vitamin C, which is normally water-soluble, thus becomes fat-soluble, and is used particularly well in cellular metabolism – and in particular to protect cell membranes.
The body requires larger amounts of vitamin C in certain situations, for instance during physical stress. VitaCforte™ helps provide for increased needs at such times. In addition, the forms of vitamin C contained in VitaCforte™ support a wide range of important metabolic functions:
